Middle Park senior Jaime Rios can add all-state honorable mention to his résumé after the Colorado High School Activities Association released its 2019 Class 3A all-state soccer teams Nov. 26.

Presented by CHSAANow.com, ColoradoPreps.com and MaxPreps, the 2019 all-state soccer teams were selected through a lengthy process, including league nominations and then a vote of the coaches, according to the organization.

CHSAA’s announcement includes first team, second team and honorable mentions for each classification. In Class 3A, fewer than 50 boys soccer players across the state were named to the three lists.

In addition to earning all-state honorable mention, Rios was selected the 2019 Frontier League Player of the Year and picked for first team all-conference.

The co-team captain made the cut after scoring nine goals and recording seven assists as he helped lead Middle Park to the best record ever for the Panthers soccer program and the school’s first ever playoff game at home. Rios also led the team in tackles (54) and was second in steals (77).
