Obituary: William Tetlow

TETLOW, Dr. William Lloyd, Jr. of Granby, Colorado. Born in Philadelphia, PA on July 2nd, 1938, a son of the late William Lloyd Tetlow,Sr. and Mary Ferris Tetlow. Bill passed away peacefully at the VA Hospital in Aurora, CO on December 27, 2019 at the age of 81, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Amber Riederer Tetlow. Bill will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by their three children, and families; Jennifer Jouzdani (Ali, Arianna, Daria Jouzdani) of Boulder, CO, Rebecca Konjevod (Mara, Ana & Cooper Konjevod) of Broomfield, CO, and Derek Tetlow (Claire, Austin & Nate Tetlow) of Highlands Ranch, CO. Bill was predeceased by sister, Joyce Eleanor Tetlow and is survived by another sister, Marcia Tetlow Renner of Skippack, PA. Bill served in the United States Army where he achieved the rank of First Lieutenant. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and then went on to complete, both, a Master’s and PhD Degree from Cornell University in Higher Ed. Administration. After a number of years working at the University of British Columbia he then moved his family to Boulder, CO. He retired from the University of Colorado as the Manager of the Computer Center for Faculty & Staff. Bill loved skiing, golfing, entertaining, teaching, and service to both his church & community. He had a special skill in providing hospitality services through the many positions he held. A celebration of Bill’s life was held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Lord of the Valley Lutheran Church in Granby, Colorado, presided over by Pastor Brian Bergum.
