Fifth graders from across Grand County spent Thursday in Hot Sulphur Springs participating in a nationwide, annual program called Law Day. Typically held at the beginning of May, Law Day is a celebration and appreciation of the ideals of justice. Each year, students from West Grand, Granby and the Fraser Valley spend several hours touring the Grand County Courthouse, administration building, sheriff’s office and county jail with court officials and sheriff’s deputies acting as guides. Students even got to participate in a mock trial, heard before the judges that oversee Grand County.
