A rockslide has closed the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 at Fall River Road, one mile west of Idaho Springs, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation. There is no estimated time for the road to reopen, but the closure is expected to last late into the afternoon, according to CDOT.

The eastbound lanes of I-70 are scheduled to close at about noon Friday from Idaho Springs to Frisco, according to Colorado State Patrol. That closure is for rockfall mitigation.
I-70 WB from Beaver Brook 248 to Empire Jct is closed for rock mitigation and there is no estimated time to reopen at this point. Alternate route of 285 is suggested.
I-70 EB will be closing at approximately noon from Frisco to Idaho Springs as well.

The interstate also was closed because of a rockslide Tuesday in the same area.
