Citing healthy snowfall this weekend and favorable weather conditions on the horizon, Winter Park Resort announced Sunday it has begun snowmaking efforts for the 2019-20 ski season.

The resort plans to open Nov. 13, weather permitting, of
course.

According to the resort, Winter Park invested $4 million on new pipes, snow guns, and compressors last summer to ensure more efficient snowmaking efforts.

With 20 additional low energy permanently mounted stick guns on the edge of the trail systems and a permanently mounted fan gun, Winter Park Resort promises to have plenty of snow early in the season.

Due to other construction projects on mountain last year, not all the new snow guns were fully utilized in pre-season snowmaking. However, all the new equipment will be operating at full capacity this year, allowing Winter Park to make more snow in less time.

Also, the resort has debuted a new Winter Park Insider’s Package with exclusive access to complimentary tours and experiences available for just three more days. For more, http://www.WinterParkResort.com
