Stagecoach Classic returns this weekend

More than 350 participants from elite Nordic racers to touring enthusiasts are set for the seventh annual Stagecoach Classic Race & Tour on Saturday.

According to a news release, the Stagecoach Classic is the longest classic-only, point-to-point Nordic ski race in the country, offering 30K race and 15K race and tour options for cross country skiers and snowshoe enthusiasts. Devil’s Thumb Ranch and the Winter Park/Fraser Chamber present this annual cross-country ski race and tour.

The race starts at Devil’s Thumb Ranch and traverses to the former Idlewild Ski Area, where finishers get treated to a beer garden, DJ and food vendors at Hideaway Park in downtown Winter Park.

The cost is $110 for the 30K race, $95 for the 15K race or $60 for 15K snowshoe tour.
