Colorado Parks and Wildlife will be offering deals on entry into state parks for the month of August in celebration of Colorado Day and to honor active and retired military members.
Colorado Day is celebrated annually on Aug. 1, the day the state officially became part of the Union, but CPW will offer free admission to the 41 state parks on Monday, Aug. 5 so Coloradans can enjoy what their state has to offer.
Also, for the entire month of August, active-duty military members and veterans get free entry to all state parks. Anyone wanting to take advantage of the deal must show proof of service at any state park or CPW office to obtain the free pass.
All other park fees are still applicable. For a full list of state parks, check here.
