
A large crowd assembled Saturday at Riverside Cemetery in Kremmling to honor veterans and place ceremonial wreaths on their graves as part of the nationwide Wreaths Across America Day.
According to the cemetery, 147 wreaths were sponsored this year.
Kremmling’s Girl Scouts gave out hot beverages, raised the flag to begin the ceremony and provided an honor guard.
Grand County Commissioner Rich Cimino, a veteran, spoke about remembering veterans and their sacrifices during the ceremony.
After placing the wreaths on grave markers across the cemetery, the ceremony ended with “Taps” and a potluck.
