Unfortunately a life was lost at Pitkin County Jail. Suicide is prevalent in jails across the country when you’re caged and see no light at the end of the tunnel.
Obviously the extension cord was total negligence, and the civil suit will be astronomical! Why can’t they place these mentally unstable prisoners in a specific area with cameras 24/7 until they’re transferred to the correct mental health facilities?
