Voters within the Aspen Valley Hospital District appeared to have continued their support Tuesday for a revenue steam that brings about $4.6 million annually to the medical facility’s operations.
According to the first wave of election results for Tuesday, 2,208 votes, or 77.9%, had been cast in favor of ballot issue 6A, which would extend the mill levy for another decade.
For property owners, the extension of the 1.5 mill levy means they’ll pay $11.93 annually on a property with an assessed value of $100,000 and so on.
The mill levy has been in place since 1995 and has been renewed by voters every five years. The current levy was set to expire in 2020.
