The Aspen Music Festival and School is offering some musical relief for federal workers affected by the government shutdown.
The nonprofit is offering workers who have been furloughed without pay a free pair of tickets to their choice of one of three recitals in the 2019 Winter Music recital series.
The concerts begin Tuesday with pianist Yefim Bronfman and continue with violinist Jennifer Koh and pianist Shai Wosner performing their “Bridge to Beethoven” program on Feb. 7. The series closes with pianist Marc-André Hamelin on Feb. 28. All three recitals take place at 6:30 p.m. in Harris Concert Hall.
Federal workers can obtain their tickets by calling the Harris Concert Hall box office at 970-925-9042. Winter hours are noon to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Regular tickets for the 2019 Winter Music Series are on sale for $55 ($5 for children 18 and younger) or a three-concert pass for $140. They’re available at the box office and aspenmusicfestival.com.
