A Colorado State Patrol trooper clocked David Hatfield, 51, going 106 mph in a 50 mph zone on a 1993 Honda motorcycle at 8:36 a.m. on Highway 82, said Trooper Josh Lewis, a CSP spokesperson. The incident occurred at mile marker 29, which is in the middle of Snowmass Canyon.

Hatfield was cited for reckless driving, reckless endangerment, engaging in an exhibition of speed, speeding and driving without proof of insurance, Lewis said. All are misdemeanors.
