Valley Settlement director steps down

The nonprofit Valley Settlement announced March 25 that Jon Fox-Rubin was stepping down as of March 31 as executive director after nearly five years.

“We are grateful for Jon’s years of service, his key role in launching Valley Settlement as a standalone nonprofit and his ongoing commitment to Valley Settlement’s families and staff,” said a statement from Paula Losada Nickell, president of the nonprofit’s board of directors.

Valley Settlement has initiated multiple programs with the immigrant community in the Roaring Fork Valley, from education to business entrepreneurship.

A search for a new executive director has been launched. The duties of interim executive director will be handled by Elaine Grossman, director of strategic partnerships, and Tracy Bethell, director of finance and administration.
