St. Regis Aspen GM lands promotion

Marriott International recently announced the promotion of Heather Steenge-Hart to area general manager of the Western Region of its luxury mountain resorts.

Steenge-Hart will remain at her position as general manager at The St. Regis Aspen Resort and also will manage The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch, The Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe, The St. Regis Deer Valley and the soon-to-open W Aspen, in addition to her present hotel.

“We are thrilled to have such a talented leader on our team. Heather brings exceptional luxury insights and expertise in managing premier properties in several of the world’s top mountain destinations,” said Liam Doyle, area vice president, Luxury, Western Region, in a statement. “Heather has been instrumental this past year, assisting ownership and Marriott’s development, design and brand teams for the pre-opening of W Aspen, slated to open its doors summer 2019 and we look forward to watching her continued success.”

Steenge-Hart serves on the board and Public Relations Committee for Aspen Chamber and Resort Association and the Aspen Junior Hockey Association. She graduated from Ryerson University, Toronto, majoring in hospitality and tourism management, with a minor in finance.

New broker at Coldwell Banker

Coldwell Banker Mason Morse Real Estate has added Lori Small as a new broker associate at the firm’s Aspen office. Small joins Mason Morse with over 30 years of experience in luxury sales, marketing and business development.

Prior to joining Coldwell Banker Mason Morse, Small launched WOW Aspen, a pilot bespoke health and fitness concierge service consisting. Previous to her role with WOW Aspen, Small spent 20 years in New York City directing sales, marketing and merchandising in North America for numerous luxury fashion brands including Donna Karan, Tommy Hilfiger, Joseph Abboud and Hugo Boss.

Frias promotes from within

Frias Properties of Aspen has named Ben Wolff general manager, a promotion from his previous role as director of operations (east-Aspen division).

In his new capacity, Wolff will oversee all the front-line operations of Frias Properties’ property management and vacation rental business. Supported by a staff of nearly 55, Wolff now helms the operations, maintenance, housekeeping and guest service teams.

“We are very fortunate to have Ben on our team, and we are excited to be working with him in this new position,” Tim Clark, managing partner at Frias Properties of Aspen, said in a statement.

Wolff has more than a decade of property management and hospitality experience, having worked at destination clubs in Aspen, Snowmass and Park City, Utah. Wolff has been the director of operations at Frias Properties of Aspen for four years.
