Snowmass estate goes to auction
A Snowmass estate once owned by the late Patrick Henry Jr. is going on the auction block.
Henry Jr., who moved to Aspen with his parents in 1948, called the valley home until his November 2017 death. He was a well-known fixture in Aspen who taught skiing, worked at The Prospector Lodge and owned The Winter Shop for several years.
He built two homes for his family on a Snowmass ranch; one is Tuscan-inspired and the second is a modern-day Austrian chalet.
Henry Jr.’s estate is part of Leslie Hindman Auctioneers’ Mountain Décor, a timed online auction conducted on Live Auctioneers from Feb. 5-12.
An exhibition will be held in the Denver showroom of Leslie Hindman Auctioneers, open by appointment Feb. 4 to 7 and open to the public Feb. 8 to 9 and Feb. 11, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Catalogs will go online on http://www.liveauctioneers.com on Feb. 5. For more details, call 303-825-1855.
