Campbell ready to work for Holy Cross board

My name is David Campbell and I am writing to introduce myself as a candidate for the northern district of Holy Cross Energy.

While the district I would represent is outside the Roaring Fork Valley, I wanted your readers to know that I regard my service within a much larger picture. The reliable production of clean, affordable energy from renewable sources is vitally important to all of us, transcending any single district. Our shared concerns of a sustainable future balanced with keeping rates affordable among our high costs of living are similar throughout all regions. I can assure you that I will have an equal regard for the entire Holy Cross service area — far beyond the boundaries of my northern district.

My desire to serve is actually quite simple. I know the towns and ranchlands of all three districts well; I understand and am fascinated by the technology; and I have the necessary business skills and experience to contribute to Holy Cross Energy in a meaningful capacity. I also have a personal desire to work on something larger that will extend beyond my lifetime. As a husband and father of two teens, what we leave the next generations matters personally.

I believe Holy Cross is doing a terrific job with their 70/70/30 program, and my primary objective is to keep that momentum going. With a fiscally sound and progressive approach, we can preserve its corporate culture while growing towards an increasingly diversified, renewable and independent future. In partnership with our local towns and communities, I believe Holy Cross will set the standard for what a regional electrical co-op can be.

Please feel free to contact me directly at http://facebook.com/Campbell4HolyCross or and respectfully, I ask for your vote, to serve our entire region as a representative for the northern district.
