Edward J. “Eddie” Daniel III passed away March 16, 2018 at his home in Largo, Florida. He was born on July 30, 1948 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Edward J. Daniel Jr. and Ruth (Graham) Daniel. They moved to Grand Lake when Eddie was eleven. He graduated from Tech High School in St. Cloud in 1966 gathering many friends along the way whom he remained close to throughout his life.
After serving in the military Eddie spent several years in California before settling in Aspen, Colorado with Christa Luckemeyer, owning a jewelry store together and ultimately raising three daughters from Eddie’s previous marriage.
Eddie was a proud member of the Elks Lodge #224 in Aspen ascending through the chairs to Exalted Ruler. The Lodge and his Elk brethren became part of his psyche forever. He loved Aspen, fishing, traveling, reading, skiing, boating and hiking. He loved being outdoors but Eddie’s greatest joy was spending time with his three daughters Polliana, Christiane and Mary, taking them on trips to Lake Powell, camping in the mountains and traveling across the country. Eddie was always ready for adventure, excitement, and whatever life presented.
Eddie is survived by his children, Polliana Olivera Gallardo (Antonio) and their two children Carlos and Christa, Tampa FL, Christiane Daniel Goldberg (David), Aspen CO, Mary (Sabato), New York NY, sister, Mary Anne (Judith), Duluth MN, and soul mate, Christa Luckemeyer (Jay), St. Cloud, MN.
