John Hickenlooper will visit Aspen on Sept. 24, this time as a U.S. Senate candidate.
Hickenlooper, who was Colorado’s governor from 2011 to 2019, will hold a meet-and-greet from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. at the Aspen Police Department Community Room, 540 E. Main St. The event is open to registered voters in the Roaring Fork Valley, according to an announcement Friday from the Pitkin County Democrats.
From 5 to 7 p.m., Hickenlooper will attend a fundraiser at the home of Soledad and Bob Hurst. Cost to attend starts at $250.
Hickenlooper dropped out of the presidential race in August.
He is seeking the Democratic nomination to face Sen. Cory Gardner (R-Yuma), in November 2020.
