Look out for wildlife on Aspen-area roads

Look out for wildlife on the roads

Please keep your eyes peeled for wildlife on the roads. The other night driving home from work I came across a dead coyote on Highway 133. A sad sight indeed, limp body laying against the cold pavement, fresh blood pooling near its open mouth. Please remember that animals hunt and migrate during nighttime hours, and that our roads often cross wildlife corridors.

Be safe, but also be aware.

Sorry, coyote.
