Mary Louise Weik Fite Zordel

Mary Louise Weik Fite-Zordel was a beloved local from the quiet years of Aspen who will be sorely missed. She was heroic yet very much a lady. Marylou saved many lives — as a DC-3 stewardess, as a nurse at the old Aspen Valley Hospital, and as a compassionate soul willing to aid anyone in trouble. Marylou was a lifelong local volunteer who helped clear runs at Highlands, distributed clothes to the needy, and who helped those down-and-out whenever there was need. She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at the Red Butte Cemetery beside Breezy. Mother was survived by her three sons, David Fite, Brad Fite, and Larry Fite, their three wives, Julie Fite, Kimala Fite, Cindy Fite and grandchildren, Arielle Goode, Severin Goode, Olivia Fite and Asher Fite. The Fite Brothers and family invite you to attend a celebration of her life to be held May 18th at a time and place to be announced. In lieu of flowers, please make a modest donation to the Aspen Thrift Shop where Marylou was a long-term volunteer who was forever smiling.
