Mountain Mayhem: Aspen Cares

Aspen Cares co-founder and producer Ramona Bruland takes to the stage.

For eight years running, the Aspen Cares dance performance-fashion show-community fundraiser has taken center stage at Belly Up. This year’s runway event took place Thursday, March 28, with a matinee performance at 5 p.m. followed by the main show at 9 p.m. The theatrical performance featuring a local (and all-volunteer) cast that showcased a blend of talents and style as seen from the clothes to the choreography.

After the main act at this year’s show, guests were invited to dance the night away with the volunteer models at a DJ dance party onstage. On Saturday, Sept. 30, guests had the opportunity to shop for fashions seen onstage at a sample sale party at Casa Tua.

As a benefit for The Aspen Hope Center — a mental-health crisis and referral agency based in the Roaring Fork Valley — Aspen Cares is a production celebrating the arts and supporting a very worthy cause in this community.
