Rivaling the end-of-year holidays for socializing, the weekend of Presidents Day was abuzz with parties up, down and all over town. On Thursday, Feb. 13, friends Marlande Mauberret and Liz MacLean co-hosted a Kemo Sabe Girls’ Night in the western store’s upstairs private bar. Guests enjoyed cocktails, conversation and kicking up their heels at the start to the holiday weekend.
Next up that very same night was a VIP opening party for the Away Chalet, just around the corner. The pop-up shop from Feb. 13 to 19 celebrated Away’s new limited edition luggage collection inspired by winter. Away co-founder/president/chief brand officer Jen Rubio was on site with her fiancé Stewart Butterfield while husband/wife chef duo of Cedric and Oshi Vongerichten served hors d’oeuvres from Wayan, their new Indonesian restaurant based in NYC. DJ Pamela Tick spun tracks while an artist personalized Away minis stocked with travel essentials as party favors. Guests were also treated to custom oxygen bar treatments and concierge services.
And on Feb. 14, Moncler hosted an après-ski reception in store for clients, media and friends of the brand, followed by an intimate seated dinner at Snow Lodge.
