Federal authorities are recalling more than 14,000 pounds of beef and pork from a Denver processing plant that produced after approved hours of operation and without inspection.
Inspectors with the U.S. Department of Agriculture learned on Wednesday that the raw meat had been shipped out from Denver Processing without the normal procedures. The meat had already been shipped to stores in Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming, according to an alert from the department.
The recalled meats include:
- Pork Sirloin Boneless Chop
- Pork Boneless Loin Top Loin Roast with the same sell-by date
- Diced Pork Super Value Pack
- Pork Loin Boneless Chop
- Pork Loin Boneless Chops Family Pack
- U.S.D.A. Choice Beef Chuck Pot Roast Boneless
- U.S.D.A. Choice Beef Top Round London Broil
All of the meats have a sell-by date of April 18 and have “EST. 6250” on the USDA mark of inspection.
