One person killed Friday night in rollover in Missouri Heights; alcohol suspected factor

One person was killed late Friday night in a one-vehicle rollover crash in Missouri Heights and alcohol is suspected to be a factor, a Colorado State Patrol official said Saturday morning.

CSP Cpl. Ivan Alvarado said five people were in the vehicle and alcohol likely is involved. He did not know the extent of the injuries to the other three passengers, or their ages.

The 18-year-old driver “walked away and is being investigated,” he said.

The rollover occurred about 11:45 p.m. Friday on Kings Row Street.
He said the investigation is ongoing and more information should be available Saturday afternoon.

Missouri Heights is a community near Carbondale and El Jebel in the Roaring Fork Valley.

This is a developing story that will be updated.
