Teacher Becky Oliver’s ExEd group from the high school and Katie Fox and Kate Korn’s fourth-graders raised a record amount of $4,000 for their recent Adopt-A-Family project. Through the local Holiday Baskets Program, they were able to adopt four families, 38 people total, in addition to donating their leftover money to the Holiday Baskets program. Teachers said the kids have worked on chores in their homes and the community since October. Prior to their school-wide bake sale, they had raised $3,290 by doing chores and setting up a GoFundMe campaign, in addition to several generous donations.
