Power to the gargoyles of Aspen

Gargoyles have two jobs to do — to drain water off of a roof and “to frighten off and protect those (buildings) that it guards, such as a church, from any evil or harmful spirits.” (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Lennie Oates’ Aspen Times letter to editor (“Saluting Aspens trouble-making trio,” April 10) of adding gargoyles of Aspen’s trouble-making trio of Kronberg, Goshorn and Goldenberg to the three new buildings is relatively easy.

Lennie just needs to show up at one of the promised public houses with his drawings. (“City of Aspen to open up design process for new government building”, April 9, 2019)

Lennie’s right about money — saving money is always important. Don’t you agree then that the least expensive funding mechanism of revenue bonds should be used to pay for the three administration buildings instead of the more expensive certificates of participation?
