St. Patrick’s Day happenings in Snowmass on Sunday

Snowmass Village will be home to scores of St. Patrick’s Day debauchery Sunday, with festivities on and off the slopes starting at noon.

In the spirit of St. Patrick, a number of restaurants in Snowmass will serve up themed specials and green beer throughout the day. See below for a rundown of the day’s events and a few notable specials.

SNOWMASS ST. PATRICK’S DAY 2019

Ullrhoff Games: 12 p.m.

Back for its third year, the Ullrhoff Games return to the mid-mountain Ullrhoff Restaurant. As part of the games, teams compete in beer pong, speed quarters, corn hole and more for prizes. The deck party also will include a DJ, beer and food specials and giveaways.

“Burn it Blue” in Base Village: 3 to 6 p.m.

Burn it Blue is an acoustic trio of multi-instrumentalists with roots in bluegrass, Celtic, country, jazz and rock and roll. Combining original music with covers of traditional and modern popular songs, the band produces a fun, fast-paced live show. Burn it Blue will take stage in Base Village for a free St. Patrick’s Day show.

Family-fun in Base Village: 3 to 5 p.m.

St. Paddy’s Day entertainment for the kiddos — including face painting, a stilt walker and ice skating — also will take place in Base Village during the afternoon.

Snowmass s’mores: 3:30 to 4:40 p.m.

Every day in Snowmass from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. is a free s’mores party. S’mores carts are located near the fire pits on the Snowass Mall and in Base Village. Special for St. Patrick’s Day carts will feature all the fixings to create the “Mint to Be,” including chocolate covered graham crackers, marshmallows and mint green milk chocolate.

ST. PATTY’S DAY SPECIALS

Base Camp Bar & Grill will offer an Irish menu, including a Rueben sandwich and Shepard’s pie, along with themed drink specials.

Big Hoss Grill will pour green beer and $10 Irish car bombs

Sake will serve crispy Rueben egg rolls with themed drink specials.

Slice Italian Bistro will offer seafood bruschetta-crostini and a chipotle goat cheese spread as well as themed drink specials.

Venga Venga will boast a DJ from 3 to 6 p.m.
