This land is our land, not Skico’s
Dear White River National Forest Supervisor Scott Fitzwilliams,
With the impending takeover of Gwyn’s at Snowmass by our local monopoly Aspen Skiing Co., may I please ask two questions?
1. Acknowledging the fact that ski resorts in California, Switzerland, France and Germany have multiple privately owned ski schools (which previously existed at Aspen Highlands and Snowmass before Lester Crown), why haven’t you approved any additional new free enterprise competition at the Skico and Vail Resorts mountains?
2. If the land leased by Vail and Skico is owned by the people, can’t we the people change the leases?
