We are writing to express our support for the new Lift One corridor and to ask our community to rally around this project. The proposed plan provides a true second access point to Aspen Mountain, restores and utilizes the historic Skier Chalet buildings, and creates new parks and green space within the central core of town.
The plan we’re voting on will improve and expand our lodging base. It is also an opportunity to ensure that World Cup Skiing will be a part of Aspen’s future.
The preservation of the historic lift and creation of the Ski Museum honors our rich history and the ski pioneers that made Aspen a world-class destination. Aspen would not be what it is today without these great people that contributed their energy, capital and vision.
The new Lift One corridor plan is an opportunity for Aspen that we may not see again. This has been years in the making and we urge you to get out and vote ‘yes.’ Future generations of locals and visitors will be grateful that you did.
