If you’re searching for Neverland, look no further than the Aspen District Theatre. Starting Thursday, March 14, Peter Pan is taking flight at the theater for Aspen High’s spring musical production of “Peter Pan.” While all eyes will be on the performers both onstage and flying high above, a lot of work goes on behind the scenes. There will be six performances over four days.

Don’t forget your lines
One of the most important things in the stage managers tool kit is the script. That way they always know where people should be and what part of the scene comes next, even if the actors and actresses don’t.
Be Prepared
A stage manager must be ready with a quick fix for any accident, incident or mishap that happens on or off stage. “Peter Pan” director Logan Carter shared this exhaustive list of all the items in the stage managers kit: Antibacterial wipes, stain remover, Advil, first aid kit, Band-Aids, ChapStick, cough drops, clothespins, safety pins, Velcro, DayQuil, breath mints, Tums, saline solution for contacts and a tampon.
A light in the darkness
The confusion backstage can be its own issue, but turn down the lights and it’s way more confusing. Helping to shed a little light on the situation, a headlamp is a must and a lot easier than carrying a flashlight.
All the accessories
Talk about grab bag. To continue on the theme of be prepared for anything the other miscellaneous musts include: mic tape, batteries, assorted gel color for lights, zip ties, keys to the theater and the sound/light booth.
