Buffalo, New York Has Declared December 15 ‘Every Time I Die Day’

Seriously- this is pretty cool.

Buffalo-natives Every Time I Die have been honoured with a day! A whole day!

In a proclamation from the City Of Buffalo Council, December 15 is known as Every Time I Die Day- honouring the band as ambassadors for the city over the past 20 years. 

The proclamation reads in full:

“Whereas, Every Time I Die (ETID) is a Buffalo based hardcore punk band that has been playing music for over 20 years and have toured all across the world, playing almost 200 concerts a year;
Whereas, ETID’s records have charted in the Top 25 of Billboard for their last three releases including a #1 debut album on the Billboard Rock Charts beating out legendary singer Bruce Springsteen;
Whereas, ETID’s members remains one of Buffalo’s biggest ambassadors, constantly highlighting the City of Buffalo in a number of interviews with three of the four members of the band still living in The City;
Whereas, this December 15th marks the 15th anniversary of ETID’s annual Christmas show and 20 years of being a band;
Whereas, this year is ETID’s biggest headline show to date, selling all 3,500 tickets at Buffalo Riverworks five months in advance that includes fans from Australia, New Zealand, China, Canada and almost every state in the U.S.;
Now, Therefore I, Delaware District Council Member Joel P. Feroleto hereby proclaim December 15th as Every Time I Die Day, or ETIDD, in recognition of their musical achievements and thanking them for their continued advocacy for The City of Buffalo.”
