Hold On – Is Brendon Urie On Taylor Swift’s New Single?

The internet seems to think so.

The big music news of the week is that Taylor Swift is set to drop a brand new song tomorrow – and fans on the internet are pretty convinced that Panic! At The Disco frontman Brendon Urie is on the track.

Taylor has spent the past two weeks teasing her announcement, with cryptic clues and teasers posted all over her social media (and in various locations across North America).

Now, with the countdown on and entering its final hours, fans think they’ve uncovered that the track (rumoured to be called ‘ME!’) has a guest feature from Brendon Urie.

Now, of course that’s just a rumour. But if you do a little digging, you’ll see that it’s not entirely out of the question… 

Going back to 2014, Brendon shared that Taylor Swift is who he would most like to collaborate with…

And as recently as last year, Brendon was spotted at a Taylor Swift concert… 

 
Brendon has also been known to cover Taylor during his famous livestreams:

And even earlier today, Brendon Urie was very very complimentary of Taylor during his Twitch livestream:

But the admiration is mutual – Taylor is quoted in her April, 2019 cover story with ELLE magazine saying “When I hear ‘I Write Sins Not Tragedies’ by Panic! At The Disco, I’m transported back to being sixteen and driving down the streets of Hendersonville, Tennessee, with my best friend Abigail, euphorically screaming the lyrics.”

And the last piece of the puzzle – Taylor’s best friend Abigail Anderson has quoted lyrics from ‘I Write Sins Not Tragedies’ in a recent Instagram post about her: 

So, could Brendon Urie be on the new Taylor Swift single? Anything is possible.
