Panic! At The Disco Match Green Day’s Chart Achievement With ‘High Hopes’

The ‘Pray For The Wicked’ single just keeps breaking records…

Panic! At The Disco‘s HUGE hit single ‘High Hopes’ has just landed yet another major chart achievement.

Billboard reports that, for the sales week beginning December 15th, the song now sits at No.1 on the Pop Songs, Adult Pop Song and Alternative charts simultaneously, marking only the fourth time in Billboard history that this has happened.

Previously, Green Day achieved the same feat with ‘Boulevard Of Broken Dreams’, topping all three charts for four weeks back in 2005. Gotye and Goo Goo Dolls have also managed to get the triple with ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ and ‘Iris’ respectively.

(Also, although it’s not an official record, this does mean Panic! are the first band that don’t begin with a ‘G’ to do this. Just saying. One to add to the record books maybe?).

Let’s have another listen shall we?

‘High Hopes’ is also currently No.1 on the Radio Songs chart, at No.5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No.1 in our hearts and minds.
