Did you know that the artwork for Parkway Drive‘s latest album ‘Reverence’ is taken from a 17th century religious painting The Fall Of The Damned.
Now, if you aren’t familiar with The Fall Of The Damned, it was painted in 1620 by Peter Paul Rubens, and it is widely regarded as the “most brilliant assemblage of lusciously naked flesh in Western art“. So it’s pretty metal.
Now to make a long story short, The Fall Of The Damned not only features on the cover of Parkway Drive’s ‘Reverence’, it also lives full-time in Alte Pinakothek – a museum in Munich.
