Slipknot Have Parted Ways With Percussionist Chris Fehn, Following Reports He Is Suing The Band

The band have released a short statement.

Slipknot have announced that percussionist Chris Fehn is no longer a member of the band.

In a short statement posted on their official website, Slipknot shared “Slipknot’s focus is on making album #6, and our upcoming shows around the world, our best ever. Chris knows why he is no longer a part of Slipknot. We are disappointed that he chose to point fingers and manufacture claims, rather than doing what was necessary to continue to be a part of Slipknot. We would have preferred he not take the path that he has, but evolution in all things is a necessary part of this life. Long Live The Knot.”

Chris’ departure from the band follows reports late last week that he was suing the band, whilst still a member. The dispute reportedly revolves around pay and compensation.

As yet, Chris has not made a public statement about his departure from the band.

Following the reports of the legal battle being made public, Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor took to Twitter to share a short statement “You’re gonna read a lot of bullshit today. This is all I’ll say. JUST YOU WAIT TIL THE TRUTH COMES OUT. Long Live The Knot.”

The news of Chris’ departure from the band comes only two weeks after Slipknot announced the details of their forthcoming sixth studio album, which is set for release August 09, 2019.
