Watch Mick Jagger’s Post-Heart Surgery Dance Moves

Just six weeks after the Rolling Stones were forced to postpone their North American summer tour so Mick Jagger could undergo heart surgery, the singer has posted a new video on his Instagram that shows his recovery is moving along with remarkable speed. In the clip, he’s busting out many of his signature dance moves while “Techno Fan” by the Wombats plays in the background. It’s not the kind of activity most 75-year-olds would engage in six weeks after heart surgery, but Jagger is clearly determined to show he’s back in fighting form as fans await details of their rescheduled tour.

The Stones were supposed to kick off a North American stadium tour on April 20th in Miami. But earlier that month, they released a statement postponing the dates. “Mick Jagger has been advised by doctors that he cannot go on tour at this time as he needs medical treatment,” they wrote. “The doctors have advised Mick that he is expected to make a complete recovery so that he can get back on stage as soon as possible.”

“I really hate letting you down like this,” Jagger said in his own statement. I’m devastated for having to postpone the tour but I will be working very hard to be back on stage as soon as I can.”

Just two weeks after the surgery, however, Jagger appeared at New York’s Lincoln Center to see his girlfriend, ballerina Melanie Hamrick, perform a ballet set to music by the Rolling Stones. He introduced her from backstage and TMZ cameras caught him walking into the theater and showing no signs of his recent medical issues. “He’s doing wonderful,” Hamrick said at the event. “That’s all I’m saying, but wonderful.”
