Yungblud On The Inspiration For His New Music: “To Be Honest Man, There’s A Gospel Track Coming”

Very ready for this.

Yungblud hasn’t been shy about the fact that he’s already working on a follow-up to his 2018 album ’21st Century Liability’.

Even as far back as last year on the set of his Rock Sound cover shoot, Dom was talking about new music and his desire to release it as soon as possible. But now he’s revealed even more details about the inspirations behind his next album.

Speaking to NME, he shared that a lot of his new music is inspired by his fans and the stories they tell him.

“What’s different is the first album I had 19 years of my life to absorb all this information and put out what I thought—it was all about me,” Yungblud shared. “And the more and more the album got digested, the less and less it became about me—the more and more it became about us.”

He continued “A lot of the new material’s about the stories I’ve heard from them, the things that they have gone through.”

And it looks like it won’t be long before we see new music from Yungblud, with Dom revealing that he’s “nearly ready” to release it.

“I’m excited to release it, I can’t wait. Because again, it’s like me – it’s just nuts. Five different genres in two minutes…”

And as for the musical inspiration? “To be honest man, there’s a gospel track coming.”

Jot us down for very intrigued and excited for this one.
