A cross between Downhill and Giant Slalom, Super-G is a one-run event like Downhill, but with more frequent turns, a la Giant Slalom. Unlike Downhill, however, there are no prior training runs for Super-G, just a racer inspection on the morning of the race. Gates open at 8am Arrive early to get a great seat and enjoy the live pre-race show festivities.

From breakfast to après-race fun, the International Experience (InterX) Pavilion is your headquarters for the 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships! Located in the center of Beaver Creek Village, this heated tent is open daily until 5pm. The InterX Pavilion has everything you need – breakfast, race coverage, free food & alcohol sampling, full bar service, music, prizes and more! The tent is free, open to the public and perfect for all ages.

2:00 pm– 5:30 pm Après Avon A Daily Festival of Music, Food & Spontaneity. Avon Main Street Mall

Après Avon, a free 12-day concert and street fair will be held from 2pm to 5:30pm every day after the races, February 3 through 14, 2015 at Avon’s Main Street Mall. The festivities feature live music, craft brews, cocktails, food and performance art, along with visits by the 2015 official mascots and cheerleaders, ski racing athlete signings, including a visit by Olympic Gold Medalist Mikaela Shiffrin, distribution of the coveted AWSC pins and other American-rooted activities. As the torch bearers of the McCoury family legacy, The Travelin’ McCourys take the traditional string band sound to new levels of intensity and joy.

6:30 pm Medals Ceremony – Men’s Super G Followed by a Free Concert Championships Plaza/Solaris CANCELLED

The medals ceremony for the Men’s Super G race at the 2015 Audi FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Vail & Beaver Creek Colorado.Each race day, fans will have a chance to celebrate and congratulate the fastest on the hill that day with the official Medals Ceremony in Championships Plaza in Vail.  The medals presentation will get underway at 6:30 p.m., immediately following the races and Après Avon.  The FIS Medals will be presented to the top athletes, followed by that evening’s free concert. Come early – this is your chance to celebrate the best alpine skiers from around the world each day. Gates open at 4pm. Arrive early to secure your spot.
