Brad Paisley and his wife, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, recently renewed their vows after 12 years of marriage.
“It was a surprise, I didn’t know we were doing it,” Williams-Paisley tells Us Weekly. The country star arranged all of the details for the sweet renewal ceremony, and Williams-Paisley’s best friend bought a dress for her to wear during the memorable occasion.
“We did a really, really campy wedding vow renewal ceremony. It was awesome. We had a traditional wedding march … Our processional walk,” she adds.
The couple chose not to get new rings, but Williams-Paisley says the day couldn’t have been more magical. “It was very casual and very campy and silly. It was perfect,” she explains.
However, there was one unexpected part of the celebration. “You could see my pink panties underneath [the wedding dress],” she shares with a laugh. “It was pretty awesome.”
The couple’s two children, Huck, 8, and Jasper, 5, were able to be part of the special day, as well. When asked how the couple keeps their romance alive after over a decade of marriage, Williams-Paisley is quick to credit regular date nights and the support of her in-laws.
“We have a lot of support,” she says gratefully. “My in-laws are close by in Tennessee and I’m so grateful to them. They really let us get out and about when we want to.”
Paisley is currently on his 2015 Crushin’ It tour.
