KATHMANDU, Nepal – A group of Colorado climbers on Mount Everest are reportedly safe following a deadly earthquake in Nepal.
The magnitude-7.8 quake, which shook a wide swath of northern India and Tibet, also triggered avalanches in the Himalayas, killing at least 10 people on Mount Everest.
Three revered Colorado mountaineers Jon Kedrowski, Alan Arnette and Jim Davidson were climbing Everest when the earthquake hit.
Jim Davidson said there was an avalanche near to their location and there are injured people at base camp. KSKE prayers for all those affected by the Nepal earthquake.
