This summer Walking Mountains Science Center has a mission: to help you rescue your family’s summer from the dreaded indoors! Their single-day, multi-day, and overnight summer camps for kids entering first through twelfth grades are sure to spark a sense of adventure. Open registration for camps begins March 7, 2016 and priority registration for donors begins February 29, 2016. Scholarships are available and new this year the application can be completed online starting February 1st.
Their Summer Science Camps allow kids to experience the wild places of the Eagle River Valley while nurturing their connection to the natural world through daily exploration of local trails. Campers investigate principles of ecology and develop an understanding of scientific concepts through fun, adventure, experiments, and exploration. Sessions are age-appropriate and taught by qualified natural science educators that make learning safe and fun.
