GoldThorne Homecoming Celebration

Silverthorne, Colorado 80498 - Introduction:Meet Silverthorne’s Olympic and Paralympic athletes including Red Gerard, Kyle Mack, Chris Corning and Jimmy Sides.
The event will kick-off at 10:45 a.m. with a processional along Rainbow Drive from the Silverthorne Outlet Overflow Parking Lot, adjacent to Chipotle, to the Silverthorne Recreation Center where a community rally will be held in the gymnasium. During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from the athletes themselves who will be presented with a key to the city by Silverthorne’s mayor, Ann-Marie Sandquist, and will be answering questions from selected Silverthorne Elementary School students. Guests will also experience photo and autograph opportunities with the athletes and live music from high-energy, nine-piece band Homeslice. The event MC will be Silverthorne resident and KUSA 9-News reporter, Matt Renoux, who was in Pyeongchang to experience the Winter Games first-hand. Additionally, patriot music will be played by members of the Summit Concert Band and Summit High School Band.
Following the rally, the celebration will continue at local breweries Angry James, Baker’s Brewery and the Dillon DAM Brewery who will be hosting “Medalthorne” beer release parties, tapping the first kegs of their collaboration ale, Medalthorne.
