Commencement ceremonies at CMC Rifle set for May 3 and 6

Colorado Mountain College Rifle will celebrate 2018-19 graduates at two commencement ceremonies this month.

The first graduation will be held at the Rifle campus at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 3, in the Clough Auditorium. The ceremony will be live streamed into overflow rooms on campus.

During Friday’s ceremony students will receive associate degrees, bachelor’s degrees, certificates of occupational proficiency and high school equivalency diplomas.

This year’s keynote speaker is Peg Portscheller, CMC’s West Garfield County trustee.

CMC Rifle will also hold a concurrent enrollment graduation for high school students at the Rifle campus at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 6.

The commencement speaker at the concurrent enrollment graduation is Trenten Hagerty, an entrepreneur and a Grand Valley High School graduate who took concurrent enrollment classes when in high school.

There will also be overflow rooms into which the ceremony will be live streamed.
