Doris Bullock passed away on November 6, 2019, at age 99.
Doris was born in 1920 in Greybull, WY, and spent most of her childhood in western Wyoming. She attended the University of Wyoming and later worked at Ft. Francis E. Warren in Cheyenne, WY, and Lowry Field in Denver during the war years.
She married William Bullock in 1942 in Coalville, UT. In 1945 she moved from Denver to Glenwood Springs to live with her in-laws, Grant and Ann Bullock. After her husband Bill was discharged from the Army, he joined his family in Glenwood Springs. Bill, his parents, and Doris operated the Bullock’s store from 1950-2003. Doris loved all those years at the store. She had wonderful relationships with her fellow employees and was devoted to her customers. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas because everyone who came in the store was so happy and excited about Christmas.
Doris was a fantastic cook and homemaker. She was a totally selfless person, always putting her family and friends first. Her generosity and kindness was endless. She loved to garden and always enjoyed all of her cats, dogs and horses.
Doris is survived by her children, Roger, Jan and Bill Bullock (Jill); grandchildren Justin Kochevar (Nikki), Jennifer Goolsby (Scott), Jarrod Kochevar (Jocelyn), Jessica Chapman (Travis); and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Wednesday, November 13th, at 2:00 p.m. at Farnum Holt Mortuary in Glenwood Springs. Burial will be on Saturday, November 16th, at 2:30 p.m. in Coalville, Utah.
