Family of man who died by suicide at Vail Pass Rest Area start mental health memorial fund

Dimetri Mark Meredith, a 42-year-old Denver resident, died by suicide at the Vail Pass rest area in Summit County on Dec 6. Meredith’s family said that he had been struggling with bipolar disorder for nearly two decades before he took his own life.

Meredith’s sister-in-law, Sarah Meredith, has set up a memorial fund in Dimetri’s honor to benefit the National Alliance on Mental Illness. NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI helps affected individuals and their families with education, support, advocacy and awareness on mental health.
