The Glenwood Springs High girls volleyball team scored key wins over Coal Ridge and Palisade Friday and Saturday to close out the regular season with the Coal Ridge Tournament title.
The Demons defeated Valley and Delta on Friday night, before downing Coal Ridge 2-0 (25-16, 25-19) and 4A league rival Palisade 2-1 (17-25, 25-15, 25-17) on Saturday.
Coal Ridge had tournament wins over Delta and Battle Mountain, while dropping matches to Valley and Glenwood.
The weekend action saw Glenwood Springs, at 19-4 overall, remain No. 5 among 4A teams going into the regional round of the state playoffs. The Demons will find out Monday which teams will be coming to Glenwood next weekend for regionals.
In 3A, Coal Ridge stands at No. 18 among the 36 teams that will be selected for the regional round on Monday.
