A question for our Garfield County Commissioners regarding their discretionary funding requests for 2nd quarter 2019. Most of the funding I would agree with but not when it comes to religious funding such as the $5,000 to the Apostolic Assembly Church. I would like to know why a church affiliation and for what purpose? I am not antireligious by any means; however, what happened to separation of church and state?
Maybe I am wrong in my assumption and thus the “discretionary” funding headline. However, I believe our Garfield County citizens need more clarity on this decision
