We received our tax assessment on our property just the other day. The last assessment was 2017, so they do a new one every other year. Well in 2017 our property value went up 50%, now in 2019 it went up additional 30%. Essentially an 80% taxed assessment in 4 short years! Where’s all the money from pot and from the taxes on everything else we buy? Has anyone else noticed businesses are closing? Grand is like a ghost town! Town managers interest lies in tourism. Where do the locals fit in? Taxing us out of ownership is wrong and needs to be challenged with our legislators.
