Letter: The psychology of living a lie

The psychology of “living a lie” is within all of us. It starts within and spreads without. Its propagated by fear and propaganda.

Hillary was the “shoe-in” in 2016. She had worked to attain positions in government that gave her the green light, not only to be the nominee, but to be president. It was more about power rather than deeds. This ascension was interrupted by Donald Trump usurping the power and derailing Hillary’s underlings. Therefore, the attempt to foil Trump’s presidential bid, motivated a crime.

It’s hard for the Democrats to acknowledge they are out of gas. Ideals that made them great in the Roosevelt Era are forgotten or cast aside. They forgot that the underlying reason World War II was fought to root out colonialism and its variations … English colonialism or Nazi style. After the war, Roosevelt haters in the Republican Party and elsewhere were appeased by selling Democrats the idea of a universal communist threat. Vietnam. Democrats also patronized religion.

Donald Trump is pragmatic, and his thinking scares those who are cozied up in Hillary’s comfort zone. To their chagrin Trump does not buy into this cabal, and this leaves them flat, fearful and angry.

It is Donald Trump fulfilling higher ideals working at home and on the world stage. It’s higher than would have been the working ideals of Hillary and friends. People who pursue the Democrats’ path will go down rabbit holes of darkness. We do best if we work against a common enemy … complacency.
