1. When did your business start?
We opened to see patients starting March 1, but the clinic has been in the making for much longer.
2. What do you sell?
I provide naturopathic health care to the Glenwood Springs community and the greater Western Slope. I also do online consultations for people out of state. As a naturopathic doctor, I aim to identify and treat the cause of chronic illness. I view symptoms as a sign that is disharmony in the body. I identify the cause of this disharmony through extensive interviewing and in-depth lab testing. My treatments are safe, evidenced-based, effective, natural and help to restore balance in within the body. My approach is holistic and prevention oriented.
Specialties include: women’s health (inc. gyne exams & paps), fertility, weight loss, detoxification and chronic fatigue though I see most chronic conditions.
Modalities include: diet and lifestyle counseling, nutritional supplementation, botanical medicine, B12
I do not see kids under 8 years.
3. Why do you like what you do?
I spent some time working in conventional medical settings, and I always felt like I wanted a bigger tool box. Ideas for people who wanted alternatives to synthetic medications and their side effects. Answers for folks who wanted to know how they could reverse their condition, how they could speed healing from injuries and surgeries or how they could decrease their chances of getting genetically predisposed conditions. I wanted the knowledge to prescribe gentler, less toxic and non-invasive therapies. I like what I do because I get to spend extensive but focused time getting to know my patients. I feel good (not just figuratively good, but really, it makes my soul feel good) to help people understand why they are sick, and what they can do to make themselves better. I love bringing autonomy back to the patient.
4. What is your plan for growth in the next year in products, services or quality?
To bring more alternative health care providers into the mix and create an integrative clinic.
5. What is the best thing about running a business here?
In my experience, the Roaring Fork Valley is a vibrant, forward-thinking population that isn’t afraid to think outside of the box. I love providing health care to folks who are interested in pushing the bounds of good health as they know it. I am grateful to be located in this beautiful valley and look forward to improving the health of my community.
